The contest will be held in Kiev in the spring of 2017
Moscow. September 16. INTERFAX.RU – Kiev plans to spend on the holding of the song contest “Eurovision” UAH 455 million (17.5 million dollars), said Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman.
“455 million UAH will be spent on “Eurovision”. You know that Kiev has given guarantees for the financing of “Eurovision” more than 200 million UAH. This will mean that this figure will be redistributed in favor of use of directly at the Ukrainian culture because the costs of the Eurovision song contest will be provided from other sources,” he said on Friday.
Earlier, the Minister of culture of Ukraine Yevgeny nishchuk, said Kiev is willing to spend on preparation and holding of Eurovision 1.2 billion UAH (about $45 million).
Pop song contest “Eurovision” in 2017 will be held in Kiev, IEC (international exhibition center) on the Left Bank of the Ukrainian capital.
Ukraine became the venue of “Eurovision-2017” after winning singer Jamala in may 2016 in Sweden.
