MOSCOW, 14 Jul — RIA Novosti. Deputy head of the faction “Fair Russia” Oleg Nilov submitted to the state Duma a bill which proposes not to apply for parole to convicted prisoners, which partially compensated the damage from a crime, from the database of the lower house of Parliament.
Currently, article 79 of the Criminal code provides that the person subject to early conditional release if the court finds that for his correction it does not need full serving of the appointed punishment and has indemnified the damage in full or partially. Amendments the author proposes to eliminate the provision of partial compensation of harm.
“It seems unreasonable application of parole to persons who are not compensated by the crime harm due to the failure to attain the goals of punishment under the Criminal code of the Russian Federation”, — stated in the materials.
